Bethany Munshi serves as the Director of Policy Strategies at the Initiative, leveraging two decades of experience advancing equitable health outcomes through qualitative and quantitative research, public health strategy, and program implementation. She leads cross-sector initiatives that translate data and community priorities into actionable change, with a focus on maternal health and systems transformation.
Bethany’s background includes leading global maternal health programs in over a dozen countries, managing large public-private portfolios at Johnson & Johnson, and driving federal transformation strategies for CDC as a senior consultant. A Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), she combines technical rigor with community grounded insight, shaped by her MPH from Johns Hopkins University and her Peace Corps service in Cameroon. She is fluent in French and works hard to find clarity in complexity.
