Cindy Zeldin Joins as Vice President of Health Policy and Government Affairs

Zeldin will be the first to hold this VP position as the Foundation expands its capacity for advocacy and systems change

Atlanta, GA – July 6, 2023– Healthcare Georgia Foundation today announced Cindy Zeldin as its new Vice President of Health Policy and Government Affairs, effective July 20, 2023. Zeldin brings over twenty years of experience working in the health policy and advocacy field, and has established herself as a thoughtful strategist who works for the good of Georgians. She will be the inaugural staff member in this position as the Foundation enhances its policy work.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Foundation at this exciting time in its transition,” Zeldin said. “This is a critical moment for Georgians as we’re working to address systemic inequity and create environments for people to achieve their healthiest lives. I’m hopeful that we can make a positive and lasting impact as we create new partnerships and build bridges across sectors.”

After working in public policy in Washington D.C., Zeldin’s career brought her back to Atlanta where she served as the first Executive Director for Georgians for a Healthy Future. Her tenure at GHF included providing strategic direction for the organization, building partnerships, and advocating for consumers, patients, and vulnerable populations. Most recently, she was a Senior Consultant for Health Management Associates (HMA), a leading national research and consulting firm that specializes in publicly financed health care.
