Kyesha Lindberg Joins as Vice President of Community Engagement

Lindberg will lead efforts to ensure that community perspectives are infused into Initiative’s work

Atlanta, GA – January 11, 2024—Georgia Health Initiative today announced Kyesha Lindberg as its new Vice President of Community Engagement, effective March 4, 2024. Lindberg brings nearly 20 years of experience leading local, statewide, and national efforts to address health disparities through policy, education, outreach, and coalition-building. At the Initiative, she will lead and engage community partners and the Initiative team in the creation and implementation of philanthropic initiatives that advance health equity. “I’m energized and excited by the opportunity to join the Initiative at this moment in its history,” said Lindberg. “I believe in the power and wisdom of Georgians. In this role I’ll be able to help amplify that power, while also bringing together strong, creative, dedicated partners across the state.”

After spending her early career working in policy and education in Michigan, Lindberg came to the Southeast as Regional Lead, Early Childhood Partnerships for LENA Research Foundation. Most recently, she served as CEO of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, a nonprofit organization which identifies and supports policy and practice solutions to increase maternal and infant health outcomes. While at Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, Lindberg increased organizational capacity, built revenue, expanded the team, and increased the number of individuals served.
